As most of you have heard by now my baby brother passed away last night, he was only 24. It was very sudden and very unexpected. All day, I just keep thinking how a single moment can change the course of everything. That one second can set into motion a series of changes that gain momentum until they are unstoppable. 

He will be missed.

Mother's Day

This Mother's Day was my first official Mother's Day. The last few years Mother's Day has been bitter sweet for me. Sad because I still wasn't a mother, but I had hope that I would be one one day. Each passing Mother's Day I would tell myself that by this time the following year I would have a baby. Bless my heart. I know now that babies don't just come because you say so, babies come because a very scared girl makes the hardest, bravest best decision that she has ever made. As I took a moment yesterday to marinate in my life, I can still remember how my heart ached for her and how now every day that I see her smile, that day is the best day of my life.
